STRAIGHT A YEAH'S ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Miranda brought home a straight A report card this week. We were so excited. She has struggled so hard with learning and she worked so hard to get all the projects done and tests studied for this quarter and we were all thrilled when she brought home the report card. No one more than her. She was just beaming. David was out of town this week so we will be celebrating tonight. She gets to pick a resteraunt to go out to and I will take her shopping next week at the mall. We have what we call mall bucks that she earns mostly for reading during the summer. She and I get some girl time at the mall and she gets to buy whatever her heart desires. She usually picks build-a-bear or earrings. The materialism is less important than the bonding, although she might have a different opinion. I like to think not though.

We had a nice girly Valentines this year. Miranda and I had dinner with Jeanie. David was out of town, and Bendix sent me Chocolates (like that's gonna make up for them stealing my husband for the 2nd year in a row on Valentines). The Bendix annual sales meeting was in San Destin, Florida this week, which would have been great for David.....if he liked heat and didn't care about Valentines. Actually he doesn't really care if a celebration takes place on the actual holiday/birthday. I was the one inscensed that they stole my Valentine. Last year the meeting had been scheduled in December but for budget reasons was postponed and they said Valentine week was the only week they could reserve. There was no such explanation this year. They sent a box of chocolates both years but I was not impressed. David and I got to go out last friday before he left and we will have the A dinner tonight. So I guess I will survive.
